Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist with expertise in the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding cycle, coupled with a deep understanding of pro-active talent management and pipeline development to fill key roles at pace. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the business achieve its ambitious growth plans.


The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage and provide daily recruitment support to the Company and will provide support to hiring managers at all levels. This opportunity will be a fast-paced, generalist role whereby you will manage and overseeing the full talent management cycle for various roles simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Provide generalist talent management support across all stages of the recruitment and onboarding cycle to the People function.

  2. Produce and review job adverts and descriptions and post to job boards.

  3. Manage the full end-to-end recruitment process from creation of job adverts through to sifting candidates, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, liaising with hiring managers, booking interview rooms, assisting on interview panels and contacting candidates through to offer or outcome stage.

  4. Conduct initial pre-screen assessments and making recommendations for second stage interviews. 

  5. Foster good relationships and effectively manage the overall candidate experience, tracking and seeking candidate feedback to ensure a positive candidate journey.

  6. Liaise with internal departments to understand recruitment needs. Reviewing skills matrices to determine and predict upcoming recruitment needs.  

  7. Organise recruitment days / events, checking internal schedules, contacting and appointing hiring managers to facilitate, producing documentation to support the event.

  8. Draft and update of interview documents from pre-screen through to formal interview as well as technical assessments. 

  9. Pro-actively identify ways to encourage direct / organic recruitment pipeline.

  10. Manage the facilitation of work experience, short-term internships and placement years. 

  11. Updating recruitment processes and policies, pro-actively identifying improvements.

  12. Developing hiring strategies and procedures in line with industry trends, as well as keeping informed of advancements and conducting competitor analysis in the field.

  13. Facilitate the hosting of skills development workshops and initiatives to improve the talent pipeline. 

  14. Booking careers / networking events and strengthening partnerships with local schools, colleges and universities. 

  15. Pro-actively sourcing candidates utilising free and paid-for platforms and features. 

  16. Utilise and work closely with marketing to attract new talent. 

  17. Managing several open roles simultaneously - ensuring effective management 

  18. Updating forecasted open roles. 

  19. Support with the onboarding process – issue offer documentation, contact candidates, collect references, new starter forms and right to work documents, conduct BPSS checks and ensure full completion prior to start dates, add the employee to relevant internal systems such as Sage HR, assist with the conduction of the HR induction and building/ office tours. 

  20. Assist the People department with talent development initiatives, pipeline plans and projects.

  21. Produce an annual talent initiatives calendar – organising attendance at recruitment and networking events, assisting with the administration and organisation of events, sharing ideas for Company initiatives in line with the talent calendar in order to attract candidates.

  22. Track and report on recruitment metrics to ensure increase in direct applicants. Report on conversion rates and platforms being most utilised.  

  23. Ensure platforms are kept up to date and relevant new starter details are added to relevant systems.

  24. Maintain the careers mailbox and ensure compliance with data protection / GDPR.

  25. Support with management of resourcing activities and involvement with both future resource planning, recruitment pipeline and daily resource planning activities.

Person specification:

  1. Personable and an exceptional communicator who can build strong working relationships with colleagues and candidates at all levels.

  2. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/ Outlook/ PowerPoint).

  3. Exceptional organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail required.

  4. Ability to work well within a team and independently using own initiative.

  5. Approachable, helpful and friendly manner; good all-round team-player.

  6. Focused on delivering to deadlines.

  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to communicate at all levels internally and externally.

  8. Flexible, adaptable, ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload.

  9. Experience of working in an effective and efficient manner.

  10. A ‘self-starter’ who does not require close supervision.


  1. Relevant degree classification, preferably in Human Resources/ Business Management.

  2. 2 years’ experience working within a similar position within the HR function. 

  3. Proficient in using recruitment platforms and tracking systems. 

  4. Ability to liaise with internal departments and develop hiring strategies independently.

  5. Advanced knowledge of effective hiring platforms that attract suitable applicants.

  6. Exceptional ability to quickly understand role requirements, shortlist and screen candidates and interview. 


  1. HR certification (CIPD). 

  2. Experience working within an SME/ in the Technology Industry.
