How Seriös Group Supported Bede with a Regulated Data Migration

Background

Bede Gaming provides technology and infrastructure for online gaming operators, delivering stable and compliant platforms in a highly regulated industry. Its technology supports the management of sensitive player, transaction and compliance-related data in line with local market regulations.

Challenge

As part of onboarding a new customer, Bede Gaming needed to migrate data from the customer’s existing platform onto its own. This included live operational data alongside twelve months of historical data, with full change history retained across transactions, gaming limits and player identification status.

The migration had to comply with stringent and highly prescriptive online gaming regulations, where data quality, traceability and historical accuracy are mandatory. As the data was continuously changing, historic states and every change over time needed to be accurately captured and auditable. Any failure to meet these requirements could expose both Bede Gaming and its customer to regulatory fines and reputational risk.

At the same time, the migration was one delivery stream within a wider platform transition, with Bede Gaming’s teams managing multiple priorities in parallel.

Solution

Seriös Group used Seriös ONE, the Data and AI Operating System, to accelerate the deployment of a configurable migration pipeline within Bede Gaming’s own infrastructure. This provided a robust foundation capable of handling both the scale and complexity of the migration.

Working closely with Bede Gaming’s data team, Seriös Group designed and implemented a migration pipeline that mapped source data across multiple target databases and entities using bespoke transformation logic. Particular focus was placed on regulatory requirements, including the accurate tracking of gambling limits, player identification status and all associated change history.

Seriös Group also provided guidance and hands-on support to help Bede Gaming plan and execute a controlled data cutover, ensuring the migration aligned smoothly with the wider platform transition.

Impact

By taking ownership of the migration pipeline and its underlying architecture, Seriös Group enabled Bede Gaming’s internal teams to focus on other critical elements of the platform migration.

The solution delivered a stable, scalable and repeatable approach for handling large volumes of complex, regulated data. Throughout delivery, Seriös Group worked as an extension of Bede Gaming’s data team, embedding into existing ways of working and collaborating closely to meet both technical and regulatory expectations.
