The office has been buzzing the past couple of weeks as we recently welcomed six new Graduate Data Solutions Engineers to Seriös Group. They’ve joined us from a mix of backgrounds and universities, bringing fresh ideas, energy, and a shared passion to start an exciting career in data. It’s always great to see new graduates come in and get stuck into the work, and this year’s cohort is already reminding us why we love running this programme.
As our 2025 graduates settle in, we’ve also opened applications for next year’s intake. If you're a graduate and thinking about where to start your career in data, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.
Our 2025 Graduates
This year Graduates who have joined us from Newcastle, Northumbria, and Durham universities, with strong academic backgrounds including undergraduate degrees, master’s qualifications, and even a PhD. Their studies ranged from Financial Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Business Intelligence.
Alongside their academic achievements, they bring a range of hands-on experience, from building PowerApps and working in data analysis to coaching professional basketball with the Newcastle Eagles and managing complex operations in retail and facilities. One of our graduates, Daniel, previously interned with us during his final year project, so it’s great to have him back. They’ve developed their skills through university projects, internships, and previous roles, and they’re already bringing new ideas to the team.
“I’m excited to be part of a team where I can apply my knowledge of AI and data to real-world challenges. Coming from a background in Computer Science, Data/AI and fact-based analysis, I’m looking forward to working on impactful client projects, learning new technologies, and growing as a Data Solutions Engineer.”
What Our Grads Are Up To
It’s been two weeks into the programme and our graduates are already beginning to move from onboarding into real client work. They have completed inductions, security training, and foundational learning through the online platform DataCamp.
They’ve also started joining skills sessions focused on service delivery, data architecture, client engagement, and practical tools; working closely with their teams and their assigned buddy. As the programme continues, they’ll build on this foundation, getting experience in areas such as testing, data strategy, and project estimation, while taking part in discovery calls and Seriös ONE Launchpad workshops. From day one, they’ve been learning the skills needed to become Data Solutions Experts, and we’re excited to see how they grow and develop with us.
What It’s Like to Join Us
We take a lot of pride in our graduate programme and how we’ve set it up for new talent, how it isn’t about shadowing or sitting on the sidelines. Our graduates work on meaningful projects that deliver real value for our clients, while learning alongside experienced colleagues and building skills through structured training.
They get to work with a wide range of technologies, tools and languages, including SQL, Python, Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, and Power BI, while also developing consulting skills that set them up for long-term success. It’s fast-paced, practical, and built to help to grow their confidence.
