Insights Analyst - Football Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Insights Analyst with expertise in Power BI and/or Tableau, coupled with a deep understanding of football data. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming raw and modelled data into actionable insights, enhancing our football analytics capabilities to drive informed decision-making for our football clients and product development team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create compelling visualisations and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau to communicate complex football data insights.

2. Collaborate with internal teams to understand analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

3. Work closely with Data Engineers to extract, transform, and load football data into visualisation tools.

4. Utilise football data knowledge to provide meaningful and impactful insights to key stakeholders and people in football.

5. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific football questions and support ongoing data-driven initiatives.

6. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in football analytics.

7. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance in all generated insights.

Person specification:

1. Proven experience as an Insights Analyst with a focus on Power BI and/or Tableau.

2. Strong proficiency in creating data visualisations, dashboards, and reports.

3. In-depth knowledge of football data and its application in sports analytics.

4. Ability to interpret and communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders and people in football.

5. Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

1. Certification in Power BI and/or Tableau.

2. Previous experience working in football.

3. Basic SQL skills for data querying and analysis.

4. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and people in football.

5. Impect data familiarity and experience.
